Hi! My name is Shelby, and I like to take pictures.

Okay, I gotta be honest. I try to let my work speak for itself and I feel like that is what should sell me, not a super quirky bio. Buuut with that being said, I feel the need to write one anyways.

I studied agricultural education at Oklahoma State University, where I spent four years studying to become an ag teacher. Agriculture is my biggest passion and I can’t help but randomly saying fun facts whenever and wherever. Did you know humans have longer intestines than cows? #funfact

I have been with my husband for over 8 years (highschool sweeties), officially married in April of 2021. He’s the hottie the hottie over there <—.

During college, I rescued a pitbull named and he really is my bestfriend. I drag him everywhere with me and there is a 100% you will hear me talk about him at some point. I’m obsessed, whatevs. The husband is cool, too.

Also, maybe kinda funny maybe not, Josh & I took our engagement pictures using my camera and tripod. We’re both super camera-shy, so it was awesome that we could be goofy by ourselves in the middle of the desert. Like I said, I know how it feels to be camera shy so I strive to make my clients feel comfortable!

How did I get started in photography?

As stated before, I have a huge passion for agriculture. I was working on a ranch during my freshman year of college when my boss needed some bulls pictured. The gal he hired charged a CRAP ton of money for only being there 30 minutes. I know now that knowledge + experience + gear = professional. But, to a broke college kid it just seemed like a no-brainer. I bought a cheap camera and took some pictures of cattle, thinking that’s all it was. Well…cattle don't listen to ya, and a newbie won’t take as good of pictures as an industry professional.

Short story short: I originally started taking livestock pictures and hated it. Being an introvert, I thought the last thing I wanted to do was take pictures of people… but here we are!
